Repair Power Config

Introduction:
this article was written for a couple of users who has a slight problem with their “Power Config” panel. These issues may be linked to some corrupted registry settings…

1.] Download notepad++ from the original author or from a mirror and install the software.
——————————-

http://sourceforge.net/projects/notepad-plus/

http://filehippo.com/download_notepad/

——————————-

2.] Click Start >> Run >> Type: regedit

3.] On your left panel, navigate to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCFG”

4.] Right click on “PowerCFG”; choose “Export”, and save it as “old-powercfg.reg”.

Notes: you can save it in another name. But, the extension must be intact!

5.] Now, right click again and choose Delete.

6.] Copy one of these “registries – binary” and save it as a “.reg” file.
