How to convert iTunes ACC encoder to MP3 encoder format

Introduction: this little tutorial will help you to convert iTunes ACC encoder to MP3 encoder – format without making you download or buy any other music converter. This guide is also useful if you want to play your “music or songs” with other companies’ portable devices such as: Zune, TeckNet and Sony. However, there are rules and regulations which you’ll need accept before you continue…

1.] you shall not use this article to distribute music or songs illegally!

Right, lets get to the tutorial and enjoy your new musical albums or songs!

Tutorial ~Part One: convert “ACC encoder to MP3 encoder format”

1.] execute “iTunes” application…

Click Start >> All Programs >> Default Folder: iTunes >> Application Shortcut: iTunes.exe

2.] wait for it to load and look for a tab called: “Edit” (without the quotes). This tab is located between “File and View”.

3.] select this option: “Preferences…”

4.] A new box will appear. After that, just click on: “Import Settings…” (without the quotes).

5.] in the “Import Settings” box, you’ll need to select a different “encoder”.
So, to change the default encoder, you have to click on the ‘drop – down menu’ and change the default “ACC Encoder” to “MP3 Encoder”.

Tips: if your disk is very scratchy, please enable this settings: “Use error correction when reading Audio CDs”. I would also recomend you to set the audio quality to 192kbps or higher. This will give your music better quality…

6.] click ‘OK’ or press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard to exit: “Import Settings”.

7.] repeat step 6 to exit “iTunes Preferences” and make a new playlist.

Tutorial ~Part Two: Burn your purchased music to a CD re-writable.

8.] copy all of the songs that has “ACC encoder – DRM protection” into your new playlist.

9.] right click on your existing playlist / new playlist andselect: “Burn Playlist to Disk”

10.] when the burning process has finish, just re-insert the disk and allow it to import your songs as MP3 encoder – format.

11.] enjoy your music on Zune, TeckNet and Sony.

Notes: if you set this up properly, your songs will no longer be protected by DRM.
However, you must keep all of these songs for yourself and never distribute them to others…




Fix iTunes Folder

Fix iTunes Folder.

Introduction:
When I was moving my “My Music” folder, my iTunes application couldn’t find the music folder that was moved to a secondary drive.
To solve these issues, please follow the guides that are written underneath…

Method One.

1.] Backup your registry with “Recovery Utility NT,” which is from Erunt.

2.] Go to Start >> Run

3.] Type “regedit” into the “Run Box” and click OK.

4.] Navigate in RegEdit and look for this line…
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

5.] Delete any entry for “My Music.”

6.] Scroll up the registry – tree and look for this line…
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

7.] Make sure there is an entry for “My Music” and is pointing to the default music folder…
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music

Notes:
Please don’t go below “My Music” folder. If you do this, it will not work!

8.] Close “RegEdit” and reboot your computer.

Method Two.
——————–

1.] Backup your registry with “Recovery Utility NT,” which is from Erunt.

5.] Edit “My Music” folder location.
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music

Example: username = Lair360
Full location: C:\Documents and Settings\ Lair360\My Documents\My Music

6.] Close “RegEdit” and reboot your computer.

Method Three
——————-

1.] Click >> Start >> Run >> Type: regedit

2.] Navigate to the following registry key…

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

3.] Change the value of the string: “My Music” to the folder where you actually keep your music.

4.]
Navigate to the following registry key…

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

5.] Change the value of “My Music” to the folder where you actually keep your music.

6.] Navigate to the following registry key…

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\iTunes


The value of the string “Win2KMyMusicFolder” should read: “iTunes” [without the quotes].
Some have suggested changing this value, but leave it alone.

Notes:
you will need a folder called iTunes under the folder where you actually keep your music. For example, if you music folder is now ‘F:\’ then you will need a folder named F:\iTunes that contains a copy your “iTunes Library.itl” and “iTunes Music Library.xml”.

Restart your computer and enjoy iTunes.
