To keep everything simple, here is my example…

1.] Search Engines will not follow any link which is marked as ‘nofollow’.
2.] Search Engine will not count any link towards ranking / popularity score.
3.] Search Engine will not share / distribute any traffic.

When I was maintaining my ‘Wordpress’ account, I was a little confuse and frustrated. For example, I already altered individual settings from the ‘Discussion’ area.
../blog/wp-content/plugins

3.] Upload the package and extract it. After that, you must login to WP account and activate this plugin. For more information, you may direct yourself to the given link (above) and learn how to use this plugin by yourself…

This tutorial may look old and tedious. But, it will be useful if your system has misplaced ‘Windows & Support’ application by accident. But, there is another thing which everyone asked: “How To Disable Windows Tour”. So what are you waiting for? Read this article and solve it!

Repair Windows Help & Support (HELPCTR.EXE)

1.] Click Start >> Run >> Type: Regedit
2.] Look for this directory and modify its value. However, if it doesn’t exist, then I would suggest you to create a new string. The original value of “HELPCTR.EXE” is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\HELPCTR.EXE

String: ‘Reg_SZ’ – C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\HelpCtr.exe

3.] Exit the registry and reboot your system.

Disable Windows XP Tour (Save Memory Consumption)

1.] Click Start >> Run >> Type: Regedit
2.] Look for this directory and modify the original value: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Tour

3.] Create a new ‘DWORD’ value and assign it as ‘RunCount’ with a digit of zero.

Rules: “RunCount”=dword:00000000

4.] You are done!

In this course, you will learn the basic and rules about Alexa engine. But, don’t get too hype about this and think that you can bypass it without hassle. Their point – system will also check your site for any unusual behavior. Therefore, I would suggest everyone to read this before you try anything or gain potential traffic.

Who owned Alexa Ranking?

Alexa website was first established by “Brewster Kahle & Bruce Gillat.” They also offered ‘toolbars’ for everyone to take advantage and monitor their website for the best results.

How does it work globally?

This explanation is very simple, Alexa accumulate information from across the nation (global network) with the actual toolbar. But, the point across this toolbar is about understanding individual user’s behavior, as they rank websites / blogs on various metrics.

Should I care about this?

Seriously, you should if you have a website / blog. But, don’t just hold there. Being a ‘webmaster’ is all about presenting the reach of your site and attracting many visitors to your page. Apart from the traffic and clumps, you can always show off your Alexa ranking. But, it doesn’t matter if your site / blog are ranked pretty badly. It will slowly grow and mature, if you are willing to put your time and dedication.

How do I improve & achieve good ranking?

Now, I am sure that you are eager to reduce your website / blogs’ ranking. Just read on and follow these steps…

1.] Try to update your blog at regular basis. I would suggest writing 3-4 articles per week. But, remember the ‘golden’ rules: the more you post, the better it will be for readers, search engine and rankings.

2.] Encourage families, friends and other users to install Alexa’s Toolbar. They are safe and I haven’t got any problems with it. So, don’t be afraid to give it a bash and see how it goes.

3.] Claim your website from ‘Alexa.com’ and grab it before the rabbit comes!

The actual link / path is located here: http://www.alexa.com/siteowners. But, don’t forget to edit your site’s listing.

4.] Select your favourite widget and slap them on your website / blog. However, to play safe, please keep the link clean from obstruction.

The actual link / path is located here: http://www.alexa.com/siteowners/widgets.

5.] Attract visitors and readers to your blog from various communities. Therefore, be active, sociable, friendly and stay connected. Why? There is a chance they may have ‘Alexa toobar’ on their browser. Who knows? It’s a blind guess…

6.] Exchange links and participate with other relevant site / blogs that have good ranking and history.

7.] Don’t use any bots or any automated techniques, because, you may LOSE ranking and status. These can also kill your traffic – big – time and I would suggest you to play “fair and square”. Don’t cheat either!

I guess this is the end. I hope you like this article and understand the fundamental – basic. However, please bear in mind that “Google Pagerank” is a completely different system with unusual metrics. Also, please don’t forget to subscribe and take a look at my design portfolio. You will love it!

Compatibility: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7

Studying at home and working all day is part of my enthusiasm. However, I am bored to hell with my USB icon. The drive will always show the same icon every-time I use it for backup. Although, there is a way to keep your USB creative and fresh! Here is “HOW” to spice it up for everyday usage…

1.] Connect any USB drive and let your Computer synchronize it.

2.] Download Notepad Plus and create a new file. It should also have these:

[autorun]
Label=USB Backup Drive
Icon=MyPicture.ico

3.] Save your new file as “autorun.inf” and don’t forget to dump your new “icon”. After that, you must eject your removable drive and allow the changes to take effect.

4.] You are done!

How to resolve CrossfireX problems

For individuals who took advantages of ‘CrossfireX’ technology, then you will need to be careful, especially your second GPU. But, to be truthful, the person who developed ‘ULPS’ technology (save power consumption), he / she should be sued! This feature causes instability, freezing issue and crashes to your system. It will also make your second GPU unusable. Therefore, if you want to keep ‘CrossfireX’ running normally, then you must disable ‘ULPS’ and examine both cards for any faults. This is crucial if you want to avoid BSOD and severe damage to your system.

Disable ‘ULPS’ – Registry Edit
—————————————–
1.] Click Start >> Run >> Type: Regedit
2.] Look for this directory…
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\…

3.] Look for these folders. They are situated as numbers: 0000 / 0001 / 0003.
The actual directory should also look like this…

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000\…
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001\…

Notes: if you have more than three folders, then you will only need to change this string: “EnableUlps”.

Set 1 to enable ULPS
Set 0 to disable ULPS

4.] Exit the Registry and reboot your system. After that, you should test your GPU for any unusual behaviour. Here is my recommendation. However, you will need other equipment if you are going to touch / test your hardware & video cards.

- Check your ‘Bridge’ connectors and make sure they are connected firmly.
- Check your bridge if they are bent (by force), broken or defective.
- Make sure both cards are tightened and secured into your PCI-E slots.
- Analyze one of your cards (individually) and make sure that your PCI-E are cleaned.
- Take out one card (individually) and test them for any faults and defects.
- Make sure your PSU is working correctly and provide sufficient energy for both cards.
Failing to provide optimal power and usage, your system could stall and may not boot correctly.

Designing your very own icons is really fun and easy! But, wait a minute… what type of strings should I use for my website?

Well, the main – philosophy is not hard. The basic strings is totally similar to ‘CSS import’ script. But, don’t forget to check your page and drop them in-between your header. It’s pretty simple….

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/images/favicon.ico">

Please select only one and place them inside / between your header-tags. But, don’t forget to replace the default directory with your own icons.

Stop That IMAGE Crawler!

When I was maintaining my domain, I had an alert from my mobile. It’s warning me that my website is using too much bandwidth. This normally happened if you decide to grab some images and plop them into your Disk for research. Therefore, I have to take action and create a script from scratch. Nonetheless, there were some script that looked similar. But, it doesn’t matter. This type of ‘Jscript’ is FREE for everyone! So, grab them before making an image – gallery. It will also save your server a lot of bandwidth!

Have fun & give those extra bandwidth to the other user who needs to see your website or read your articles!
