Intel Core i9 Gulftown review

Version: 12.1
Revision: 11 Build 5

When I was at PC World, I’ve been asking for a release date about the new Intel Core i9 Series. However, this processor won’t hit the market in a few month’s time. This is also going to hurt gamers and consumers.

According to my research, the pre-release edition: 2.8Ghz Gulftown chip, PCLab had found some improvements and gathered some information on different applications. In their report, certain program, such as editing video or rendering 3D projects, it can perform up to 50% faster than the previous processor: Intel Core i7 Series. But, in some areas, it didn’t shine and its performance is similar to that older model (Intel Core i7 Processors) when handling less demanding jobs.

On the other hand, if you want less power consumption, then this type of chip is for you to buy. But, don’t get your hopes up on the prices!
