iEdge – Bootstrap Update Manual
Hi everyone! I am back and here is my simplified version regarding: “iEdge Bootstrap Update”. It is not much. But, it will help you jump from one area to another without confusion or mistake. So, why don’t you try this instruction and save yourself the hassle. However, you must read my instruction carefully. If you miss one area, please don’t proceed to your next objective! Please move back and double check!
Notes: before we proceed, you will need to check this list. It’s highly recommended that you must double – check your equipment!
1 x DSi – Version 1.4 \ DS Lite
1 x iEDGE cartridge
1 x iEDGE USB reader or similar product that reads “Micro SDHC” cards
1 x Micro SDHC cards (1GB, 2GB or 4GB)
Compatible Windows System with internet connections

Instruction Manual

1.] Create a new folder in your disk drive and name it as “Edge”.
2.] Go to the correspondent website; download iEdge Bootstrap and SD card formatter. Once you’re done, you must extract these applications and put them into your new folder: “Edge”
3.] Install your SD card formatter.
Right click on the application >> Run as: Administrator
4.] Insert your “Micro SD” card into your “iEDGE USB” reader and plug it into a USB port.
5.] Run “SD Formatter” application. It will find your SD card. But, don’t forget to check your card’s file size and the type of card its reading!
6.] Format your drive and keep everything as default.
7.] When the format is complete, please go to these ‘search engine’ and look for this NDS games. The file is in Japan and the code is “0363 – Puzzle Series Vol. 3 – Sudoku (Japan)”

Notes: The above string is the correct file for download.
8.] Run “iEdge Bootstrap v1.xx” and locate your “Soduko” NDS file. But, don’t forget to locate your “Micro SD” card!
Tips: the update button will not be ‘grayed’ out if you have the correct NDS file.
9.] Click on the “Update” icon and let the application create a patch for your Nintendo DSi / DS Lite.
10.] After the “Update” process, you may safely remove your USB reader and take out your “Micro SD” card.
11.] Insert your “Micro SD” card into your “iEDGE cartridge” and switch on your DS console.
Warning: the “iEdge” has an onboard LED which will begin to flash, this can be seen by looking at the point near the middle of the cartridges. This is a signal telling you that the update is in progress. However, at this critical moment, you should leave the DS consol alone and interfere with the process.
12.] When the DS cartridge stops flashing, you will need to switch off your DS console and switch it on.
13.] You are done! Grab a cold drink and enjoy yourself!!

1.] Download “iEdge OS 1.xx” from the original website.
2.] Extract two of these files and folder: “EDGE + IEDGE.DAT” into the root directory of your “Micro SD” card.
3.] Safely remove your “iEdge USB” reader and insert your “Micro SD” card into your Nintendo DSi / DS Lite.
4.] Bootup your DS console and have fun!
