How to use Skype on your PSP console
For those who had a PSP console and they would like to chat / communicated with their friends, then please consider reading this tutorials. However, please keep in mind that this tutorial is NOT for ‘PC / Notebook’ edition. It’s only written for the PSP console!
——————————————
1.] Insert your “Memory Stick Duo” into the PSP port (Card Reader / Slots), which is located on the side of your PSP console. However, you’ll need at least 1 MB of FREE memory just to use Skype.
2.] Use your directional “D-pad” to select “Network” section (XMB Menu).
3.] Scroll down / up and look for the Skype icon. After that, just hit “X” and wait for Skype to load. It will only take a few seconds…
4.] At this stage there are two choices. But, you’ll only need to choose one. However, for beginners / newcomers to Skype, I would suggest you to take the second options.
Option *1: Select “Sign In” if you wish to use an existing Skype account. Enter your Username and Password into the fields, provided with the on-screen keyboard.
Option *2: Select “Create New Skype Account” if you wish to create a new account. Enter your desire username, password, and personal information into the field’s provided (with on-screen keyboard).
5.] Select an available wireless connection and connect to ‘Skype Network’. After this, the application menu will appear…
Notes: If you receive a message saying that your desire ‘Username’ has been taken. All you need to do is enter a different name (into the field’s provided).
6.] Connect a PSP Headset / USB Microphone to your PSP if you are using ’2000 Series’ hand-held. But, If you are using a 3000 hand-held / PSP Go, just use the system’s internal microphone. There is no need to buy something else like Xbox Junk!
7.] Select “Contacts” from Skype menu if you want to see your list of contacts. To call a contact, select one with the directional D-pad and press the “X” button. If you want to dial a number, choose “Dial” from the menu and enter the number with the on-screen keyboard. Finally, just select “My Profile” to alter your profile information, or “Tools” just to change your preferences or purchase Skype Credits.
8.] Enjoy your long conversation and don’t forget to take a break in between your chat!
It’s important to take rest and drink lots of water before chatting.
