How to update iEdge Firmware v3
Yesterday, I was out to buy some games for a friend. However, I don’t know which titles to buy! There are hundreds and thousands of DS games and my head was running like a madhouse. So, I decided to take a break at a restaurant and pop-out my iEdge cartridge to test a series of games which I saw at the store. At the end, I was hit with a blank card. There wasn’t anything on it. I was carrying a new card instead of my old one – The good news? I got a chance to write this article and test some games before buying a genuine version.
Anyway, to test the latest NDS games, you will need to ‘Bootstrap’ your iEdge. The process is not that hard. All you need to do is download some file and prepare your Micro SDHC card. After that, you are on your way…

1.] Create a new folder on your desktop or place them anywhere. It will be used as a place to store all of your download and games. But, don’t forget to give it a name.
2.] Direct yourself to the given link and download: “iEdge Bootstrap + SD card formatter.” Once you’re done, you must extract these applications and place them through your new folder.
3.] Install “SD formatter” and backup your “SDHC cards.” If you don’t, then you will be in for a surprise…
4.] Reformat your SDHC card and use this: “iEdge Bootstrap”. After that, you must download this NDS file: “0583 – Shikakui Atama wo Maruku Suru.” The actual NDS file can be found on my server.

6.] Safely remove your SDHC card and slot them into your iEdge cartridge. After that, you will need to switch on your DS console and wait for it to patch your card. But, don’t press anything or touch the screen.
Notes: The light (Red LED) should blink for a minute and stop. If it doesn’t blink, the process is finish. You may power off your DS and continue…
7.] If you haven’t update your “iEdge OS,” then you will need to download it from here: http://www.edge-ds.cn/download.html
All you need to do is extract everything and dump it on your SDHC card. In other terms, it’s basically a drag ‘n drop operation…
Enjoy!
